New Year’s Cat Rescue

Comprehensive Tree Care got an exciting start to the new year January 1st when owner Mike Fried got an early morning call to rescue a cat stuck in a tree in Hagerstown. Normally, cats that get stuck in trees eventually come down on their own, but this one had apparently been up for several days, and the frigid temperatures had neighbors worried.

Several frantic Facebook posts drew attention to the stranded cat, and apparently even the Hagerstown Fire Department was unsuccessful before we got the call. Crowd-sourcing on Facebook eventually led one concerned neighbor to call us, and Mike rushed over.

After a good deal of climbing, Mike was able to reach and rescue the cat, which was nursed back to health once back on the ground. Many excited neighbors and strangers rejoiced on the Facebook updates that announced the successful rescue.
